"I'm not sure why I stopped swimming," he says, answering Eric's question as they turn and cross the bridge over the river. "I think I got burnt out. We swam doubles every day but Wednesday and Friday, and Wednesday we did a dryland session instead," he explains, thinking back to those days, about how all he felt like he was doing was swimming and homework and working in the bar.
