"I've never been ice skating," Lee tells Eric as they walk briskly toward the bridge, Lee counting the blocks down in his head as they go. They're only a couple of blocks away from Eric's apartment now, and Lee's glad. He still can't believe he's taken a coat from a kid. He's going to find some way to thank Eric as soon as he figures out what the hell he's doing here.
"I'm more of a runner than anything else," he says, trying to carry the conversation. "At least I have been the last twelve years or so. I swam in college."
