Lee's not so focused that he doesn't hear the conversation that occurs outside the front door, muted voices telling him that Eric probably met the Chinese delivery person before he could ring the bell. Taking a breath through his nose, his eyes come open slowly and he smiles at he hears Eric come in, setting a paper bag that must be their dinner down on the table near the door and kicking off his boots. Lee pushes himself standing, and though it's easier than it has been, he still feels achy and exhausted in his bones.
"I am," Lee replies as he walks into the front room to meet his husband with a soft smile. "I have some news to share, though I thought Chinese food was in order," he says, nodding at the bag.
"How was your day?" he asks as they head into the kitchen together, Lee pulling down some plates.
